Groceries for Good was a wonderful success! A total of 5,366 pounds of food was collected from four grocery stores on Saturday. THANK YOU, Hopkins County! This food will make a huge difference as CFB feeds individuals in our community throughout Thanksgiving and Christmas. CFB would also like to thank Madisonville Police Department, Madisonville Fire Department, First Christian Church Youth Group and First Presbyterian Church Youth Group for collecting the donated groceries; the Hopkins County Jail Community Service Trustees under the supervision of Deputy Duvall for transporting groceries from each location to CFB, then weighing and sorting the groceries; Market Place, Sureway, Wal-Mart, and Kroger for allowing us accept donations at their locations; and our sponsors, The Messenger and Sprint Print. We are so thankful for our community that gives so generously to meet the needs of others. THANK YOU!
